Andy Powick
Chairman Village Hall Management Committee and Institute Trustee
A retired Higher Education tutor who has lived in the village since 1971. He has served as a School Governor, Chairman of the Carnival Committee, Community Councillor and for a second time as Chairman of the Village Hall Management Committee since 2007. In 2017 he became a Trustee upon registration of the Village Hall as a charity.


Roy Jones
Bookings Officer and Institute Trustee
A retired accountant who has lived in the village since 1973 and has been involved with several local organisations during that time. He was chairman of the Sports Field Management Committee during its development phase. He has been treasurer of the charity since it was registered in 2017 and of the Village Hall since 2007. Roy retired as treasurer at the recent AGM and is replaced by Roger Goodman.
John Firth
Lottery Treasurer Data Base Officer and Chair of Institute Trustees
A retired Commercial Manager who has lived in the village since 1971. He helped set up the Village Lottery in 1973. This century, he has again been a member of the Management Committee. In 2017 he became a Trustee upon registration of the Village Hall as a charity.


Roger Goodman
Treasurer
With a 50-year background in accounts and book-keeping, Roger moved to the village in January 2019 and together with his wife, Jan, runs The Stableyard, three self-catering cottages off the village’s High Street. As a former Company Secretary of Cheltenham Racecourse, he enjoys the proximity of Bangor-on-Dee’s racecourse and is a member of the village community choir and a bell-ringer at St Dunawd’s

Jackie Grice
Jackie moved to the village in 1989 with her husband and 3 sons. Having taught in 3 secondary schools in Wrexham supporting children with additional needs she retired in 2017. She holds roles in various organisations in the village, including the Community Council, the Sportsfield Management Committee, the Bangor on Dee Volunteers and the Flood Wardens.


Vivien Lavis-Jones
A retired hospital pharmacist who has owned a cottage in the village since 1974. She was treasurer of the Village Hall for 30 years until 2007 and Hall manager from then until 2018. In 2017 she became a Trustee upon registration of the Village Hall as a charity. She has written two books on the history of the Hall and of the village in 2013 and 2015.
Handel Williams
A retired divisional Head of an oil company in central Europe responsible for 3000 people. He has lived in the village since 2000 and in this time has taken on various voluntary roles in Wrexham and district. He is very pleased to be accepted as a Trustee of the village hall.


Jane Wilson
A retired Office Manager/ Financial Controller. She has lived in the Village since 2009 and is an active member of Young Wives and Craft and Chat. She is a founder member of Bangor Bookworms and a Volunteer at Nightingale House Hospice.
